I made a WAR Spreadsheet, just download it, it includes a wOBA calculator too if you need one.
On the left side of the spreadsheet, a user fills in the yellow information and the spreadsheet will populate the player's projected salary for a different number of years.
On the right side, a user fills in the yellow values of a contract and the spread sheet will crank out the projected WAR needed over the life of the contract to break even. With this side, there is only 1 aging coefficient, so you may need to adjust the number a little by hand if their are 2 or more coefficients. Also, only look at the Year rows and columns for the time frame selected.

This is a tough call for teams. Kuroda appears to be the kind of guy who could pitch effectively until he's 40. But when pitchers get to the age Kuroda will be in 2012, teams get leery. He's probably a better fit for a club like Arizona or Boston, a team that could use one more starter to get them "over the top", than the Cubs, who likely have a longer way to go before contention.
